Brandon's visit to the Pediatric Dentist

After visiting our family dentist on July 26th, our dentist recommended us to visit the pediatric dentist. Because Brandon got scared from the chair tilting back, we weren't able to get his fillings done. Brandon has a bit of tooth decay on this front top teeth underneath.

I was given a list of dentists to choose from. I called the Pediatric Dental Group, Inc. and was given an appointment. So our first visit to the pediatric dentist (located at Oakridge Shopping Centre) and our appointment was with Dr. A.R. Chan. She was very nice. She saw the radiograph that my family dentist attached to the referral letter and also explained to me the situation. I had two options: either maintain it with good flossing and brushing or assign us to go to the hospital to get it fixed (which is costly).

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be taken to see a pediatric dentist at least six months after they get their first tooth. It may seem strange to think about taking a child who is under one into a dentist's office' but doing so will help make sure his/her teeth stay healthy and get him/her used to visits that will become a regular part of his life.
