3 Easy Homemade Snacks Kids Love

The following is a guest post by Roxanne Porter. Thank-you Roxanne, for the great article.

Feeding kids is often a stretch of your imagination. There are so many healthy and great tasting recipes out there, but you do not have time to look through them all. You also don’t have the time to spare to be cooking for hours. All you want is a tasty snack that your kids will love, is easy to make, and, preferably, is healthy for them too. So, here are three recipes that should help you out:

1. Fruit Rollups – Instead of buying the corn syrup filled store brand, why not make your own fruit rolls? It is very easy and only takes two ingredients and a dehydrator or oven! With two cups of blended strawberries and a quarter of a teaspoon of cinnamon, you can make your kids their very own fruit rolls, and they stay fresh for a long time in the fridge.

2. Frozen Banana Bites – With only three ingredients, this healthy, tasty, and filling chilled treat will have your kids begging for more! Bananas, peanut butter, and chocolate combine into delight when frozen. Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together and stir well. Then dip the banana chunks and set on parchment paper to freeze. Serve after an hour or wait overnight to fully freeze. Yummy and a great way to cool off! You can sprinkle them with coconut too.

3. Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites – This yummy treat is easy to make also. Mix peanut butter, brown sugar, powdered sugar and a little butter together for the filling. Roll into balls and press between pretzels. Let cool in the freezer until firm and then dip in melted chocolate. Yum!

These snacks are easy to make and very tasty. For more great recipe ideas, check out FoodGawker or Pinterest. The images really make your mouth water and you can come across ones you have never heard of before. Try out these three with your kids and see which is their favorite new snack!
